Hi, When will the next lot of episoids be coming on DVD? I’ve been watching this show since it started and I have bought the DVD’S, now that I’m up to series 6 part 2. I hope the rest of the series is coming out on DVD. It’s a really show, sometimes you have a good giggle and there are sometimes real life stories. Very much appreciated if you could let me know if there are going to be more DVD’S and when possible they would be released.

I am amazed and stunned by your site. I would never have believed a fan would go to so much trouble for a show that finished so long ago. I was actually one of the post production editors on the show along with Graeme Andrews. I cut the Anti-mining episode, “Save the Valley, Stop the Mines . . .” , also remember cutting one where one chararcter (can’t remember who) was affected by drugs and I had to amke up some sort of “drug vision” effect. Lots of fun. Nice guys to work with at JNP, but we did the post at Custom Video in Epping, ATN 7s facilities. I also worked with Gordon Piper (Bob) after the series on other projects. Well, amazing and well done.

Hi, Are ‘the powers that be” going to be releasing any other seasons/series, eg right up till the last episode of the bush fire finale? I have every episode up to series 5 and would love to have the rest on dvd

Oh, and as a side, yes, the people who complained are both the ones that can benefit, that’s why they are always the ones that complain at the drop of a hat.

I have been a fan of “A Country Practice” since it started, at the tender age of 6. If Frank Gilroy came into my bedroom to tell me something, then I know I would just do it, not only to get him off my back, but because he has a sense of what’s right and wrong. This is pure comedy, and clever advertising. It’s fun to see old stars recognized again, and its just the “Aussie” in us that would identify with it. After checking the link, I was happy to see Brian in a later “role”, but upset that it would be put under such scrutiny. Everyone needs to lighten up. Great site though. Cheers.

I used to watch te series on Dutch TV. Being a new Australian at one time, it could appreciate the humor an the slang no end.
Nowadays I’m scouring the internet for a DVD release of the series. We get a lot of Australian sitcoms here on TV but unfortunately it takes local knowledge to fully appreciate them since most of the clues are lost in translation.

I was rather upset to hear that Brian Wenzel had gotten involved in something like this. I did not hear about complaints though – a friend (also ACP fan ) told me about an investigation by a current affairs show that instigated lab testing of the Nasal sprays that supposedly showed the products to be a complete rip-off \ dud ! This reminds me of an unfortunate incident years ago with Sid Heylan who promoted some product for a company that was very suspect. Always a shame when they get mixed up with some sort of “dodgy” business scheme,after having such a good career on Australian tv.
